The hotel staff were great, we extended our stay by a few days and Dorothy was able to accommodate us despite the very busy weekend that was approaching. Many restaurants just a short drive away. There are a few walkable restaurants to the hotel (highly recommend The Fat Snook).

The property is spacious with plenty of outdoor areas to hang out, it often felt like our own private getaway! I don’t know if it’s typically kid free but there weren’t any children during our stay, which makes sense since the vibe is more about relaxation. The pool was great, almost always empty and we honestly didn’t see many people in general even when the facility was totally booked. This area is super chill compared to the far busier location by Ron Jon. The location is seriously amazing, it’s right on the beach on the sunrise side, so we were able to walk our dog each morning (on the dog friendly beach) watching the sunrise. We spent 10 days at Surf Studio and it was perfect, so low key. All rooms are pet friendly which was perfect for us! Honestly though you don’t go for the rooms, with the pristine location you want to spend as much time outdoors as possible. It’s all about the location! The rooms are pretty basic, but clean. Each unit offers a fully equipped kitchen, private balcony, high speed internet access and TV/DVD/VCR. Built in 2005, the Mediterranean-styled resort offers 30 two bedroom units, each offering an amazing gulf view.
